Lorenzo Rhodes is a Detroit keyboardist, composer, educator, and founder of Station 42. Mentored by jazz great Harold McKinney, he is an acclaimed music director, bandleader, and international recording artist. His genre-spanning sound has energized stages including Baker’s Keyboard Lounge, the Apollo Theater, and the Detroit Jazz Festival. 

David is the rhythmic foundation of Station 42, anchoring the ensemble’s smooth, jazz-infused sound with soulful bass lines and polished musicality. Drawing from jazz, R&B, and funk, he combines technical skill with a natural feel for groove, creating melodic bass parts that add depth, movement, and energy to every performance. 

Native Detroiter Gary Colbert is a versatile clarinetist, flutist, saxophonist, and performer whose artistic roots began in elementary school. He later studied modern dance and ballet, performing internationally in Nigeria with the Detroit City Dance Group. Gary has collaborated with leading Detroit artists and performs solo as GRC Music Box. 

 Detroit-born drummer Jwallondrums brings decades of smooth, soulful rhythm to the city’s celebrated music scene. His sound blends gospel roots, jazz sophistication, and R&B and soul influences. He has performed with artists including Anita Baker, Sheila Ray Charles, and Aaliyah, while continuing to inspire and support Detroit’s next generation of musicians.

Randy Doyle is an accomplished Detroit guitarist whose versatile musicianship has strengthened projects across the local and national music scene. A frequent performer, he has appeared with Soundproof Band, the Lorenzo Rhodes Quintet, and Elevation featuring Chiara. His experience also includes diverse studio sessions, recordings, and collaborations across multiple musical styles.
