He is a respected music director, bandleader, educator, and international recording artist. He has performed at legendary venues like Baker’s Keyboard Lounge, the Apollo Theater, the Detroit Jazz Festival, and more. David is the groove engine behind smooth jazz ensemble Station 42, bringing soulful bass lines and rhythmic finesse to the band's signature sound. With a background in jazz, R&B, and funk, David blends technical precision with deep feel—creating rich, melodic bass parts that elevate every performance.
Native Detroiter Gary Colbert began his musical journey in elementary school, starting with the clarinet and later expanding his passion to include the flute and saxophone. As an adult, Gary continued to nurture his artistic talents, studying the performing arts with a focus on modern dance and ballet. His dance skills eventually took him across the globe, performing in Nigeria with the Detroit City Dance Group. Throughout his career, Gary has played alongside many of Detroit’s most popular groups and musicians, while also performing as a solo artist under his brand, GRC Music Box.
Born and raised in the heart of Detroit, Jwallondrums is a seasoned drummer whose smooth, soulful rhythms have become a staple of the city’s vibrant music scene. With a natural gift for blending precision with emotion, jwall has spent decades crafting a sound that speaks to the spirit of smooth jazz while honoring Detroit’s deep musical legacy.
Throughout his career, jwall has shared the stage and studio with legendary artists including Anita Baker, Sheila Ray Charles (daughter of the legend Ray Charles), and Aaliyah, as well as countless Detroit greats whose artistry has shaped the city’s unmistakable sound. His drumming carries the richness of gospel roots, the sophistication of jazz, and the heartbeat of R&B and soul.

Randy Doyle stands as a highly accomplished guitarist, leaving an indelible mark on the vibrant music scene of Detroit, MI. A regular performer in the area, he lends his musical prowess to various projects, notably gracing the stage with the Soundproof Band, the Lorenzo Rhodes Quintet, and Elevation (ft. Chiara). Beyond these dynamic collaborations, Randy has made notable contributions to both local and national musical landscapes, with a portfolio that includes diverse studio work and recording ventures.
